“My 45 Years” is a collection of images from the last four and a half decades that have resonated with me personally.  I have chosen the cup form to carry these images. Its simple design offers space for content and its familiarity allows approachability.  I chose the images not to impose to the viewer that they were most important, as they only represent my experience.   It is my hope that this piece sparks conversation, whether it is feelings of anger, happiness, or nostalgia.  These human emotions connect us,  allowing for our personal experiences to become universal.
